Is The Contact Poster Not Working on iPhone Try These 3 Fixes

If you made a cool Contact Poster but your contacts can’t see it, we’re here to help you fix the problem fast. Whether it’s a software glitch or a mistake you made, we’ll get it sorted out.

1. Enable The Sharing Of Names & Photos With Your Contacts

If you have just made your Contact Poster, you might have unintentionally turned off the option to share it with your contacts. Don’t worry, everyone makes mistakes, and it will only take a few seconds to enable the feature again! Just follow these steps:

To access your contacts, open the Phone app on your device and go to the Contacts section at the bottom.

  1. Tap on My Card at the top of your contact list, and then select Contact Photo & Poster.
  2. Next, verify if Name & Photo Sharing is turned on. If not, switch it on.
  3. Lastly, ensure that the Share Automatically option is set to Contacts Only.

If you can’t see the Contact Poster set up by someone you know, just ask them to follow the steps mentioned above and make sure the feature is turned on!

2. Erase and Recreate the Contact Poster

If the previous solution doesn’t solve the issue, we suggest removing your Contact Poster completely and making a fresh one. Here’s the process to delete your current Contact Poster:

  1. To start, open the Phone app and access your contact card by tapping on My Card.
  2. Next, click on Contact Photo & Poster and select the Edit button located below your current Contact Poster.
  3. Swipe upwards on a Contact Poster and click on the Trash icon to delete it. Confirm your selection by tapping on Delete.
  4. Lastly, create and personalize a new Contact Poster for yourself and your contacts.

Turn Off Name & photo Sharing, Then Restart Your iPhone

Maybe a software error is to blame for this problem. Luckily, the easiest way to resolve software issues like this is by restarting your iPhone. Before restarting, go to Phone > My Card > Contact Photo & Poster and turn off Name & Photo Sharing.
If you have a phone with a notch or Dynamic Island or an older iPhone with a physical Home button, restarting your iPhone is easy, even if the buttons don’t work. Once you turn your iPhone back on, just follow the steps mentioned earlier to enable Name and photo Sharing once more.

If the troubleshooting steps we mentioned earlier didn’t work, you might be facing this issue because of a bug in iOS. Luckily, Apple regularly releases software updates to fix common problems like this. Although it’s not perfect, we suggest waiting until a new update is released.
